CHARLESTON — Southern lawmakers offered a bill Monday aimed at shifting
control of the Turnpike from the West Virginia Parkways Authority to the
Division of Highways once bonds are retired in 2019.

Moreover, the bill by Delegates Linda Sumner, R-Raleigh; Mike Porter,
R-Mercer; and Patrick Lane, R-Kanawha, stipulates no bonds can be issued
 without legislative approval.

----

But, but, but ... 88 miles of miracle ... perpetual tolls ...
subsidizing artisans ... something about intangible economic benefit
costing two to three million a year ... etc.
