Hmmm...apparently there is an assumption that the dollar will still be
a valid currency by then.  Euros or pesos would have made the
futuristic gadget more realistic.  Nice one.

We should have both re-examined the gadget...it's set up for a
cashless society, as in electronic funds transfer for fine payment on
the spot.  That would keep the $$$ (or functional equivalent) out of
the cop's hands.

That IS pesos.  The symbol is the same.

Clearly this isn't very accurate.  It says the guy was driving a 2054
Ford.  Any bets they won't be around then?

My money would be on them being a subsidiary of Honda, Toyota or Nissan
by then.
