And then there was I-265 (IN)!

Hi All,

The Worldwide Highway Library, a Calrog.com component, now hosts a video of
Interstate 265!  The documentary covers the Indiana constituent, which
begins an eastbound crawl from I-64, and currently terminates near
Jeffersonville @ I-65.  The route will ultimately annex IN-265 and cross
into eastern Louisville, KY via a yet-to-be constructed Ohio River crossing.

From there, the truly "interstate" I-265 would join  'I-265 Kentucky' and,
by yet another annexation, render a fatal blow to KY-841's existence.  Net
result:  I-265 will one day become a single beltway around the
metro-Louisville area.

There are two ways to see this latest video:

(1)  Analog hyperlink:  http://worldwide-hwys.calrog.com/i-265.wmv
(2)  Modern-age RSS feed:  http://worldwide-hwys.calrog.com/vwwh-rss.xml .
Once you've subscribed, you'll automatically be notified of new videos at to
the Library before anyone else.

Enjoy!

Cheers,

Not really... KY 841 will continue to exist west of Interstate 65 in
Kentucky to the Greenbelt Highway. There is no planned crossing west
of US 60/31E to Indiana over the Ohio River. And yes you are correct:
Indiana State Route 265 will be "swallowed up" by Interstate 265 when
the East End crossing is constructed.

By the way, to add a slight comment: It's a narrative, not a
documentary. A documentary would involve you getting out, doing
research (outside of reading from a road atlas), talking to people,
etc., not driving down an interstate at 70 MPH.

Ok...first, your use of 'analog' in this context completely
contradicts the supposed definition that you have been using in your
defense of it.  In fact, when first questioned about it, the term
'analog' was used in the same context.  I just find that peculiarly
interesting.

Secondly, please please don't shoot a video, read a road atlas or map,
and use it to try to narrate at that same time.  Espescially at
night...actually espescially ever.

Finally, if you are gonan do voice edits "Indiana" (twice) and "..in
Kentucky..." you may as well shoot the film silently..and then voice
track over top of it.  At least it would make for a much cleaner
presentation.

Tim,

I think you should seriously consider a career at RotoRooter.  They
are hiring, http://rotorooter.com/plumbing_jobs/.    It would be an
excellent outlet for your passion, and also a chance for you to have
more influence in society.

Judging from your tales with plumbing fixtures etc., I think all of
mtr would be more than willing to give you a solid recommendation.

Better yet, Tim could consider applying for a job at a service company
that pumps out septic tanks.  He would really like that.

Not like the general public in any way will benefit from this parade of

Oh come on, where's the belaboured explanation and patronization we've all
come to know and love? Yr response should be at least 6 LONG paragraphs.
This short stuff is not at all like you. Not getting any? Though, I can't
recall evar hearing the expresssion "armchair quarterback" before. I always
thought it was "Monday Morning Quarterback". It doesn't matter anyway, as
Adam is a devotee of the goddam hockies and not amnerican football, a plus
in his favour, since the hockies have a far higher level of entertaining
gratuitous violence.

I would have to agree, the voice edits demonstrate poor craftsmanship
on Carl's part.  I think the care (or lack thereof, you be the judge)
that Carl takes in producing his videos has causes a large number of
people not to take Carl seriously.  Not to say that my roads videos
are anything to write home about either, but if Carl cares about the
product he's producing, I think he should be more attentive to the
presentation.

Oh puhleeze! Give us a break with this over run trivial nonsense.
What you're talking about has been in the planning stages since 265 was on
the drawing board!
The stumbling block appears to be Indianna itself.
Then I think it would serve no real purpose to be a complete circle.
