So, it's about the revenue.... if it was about the safety through lower
speeds this kid was more effective than the cops could ever hope to be.

A CHEEKY Broadfield man who tried to warn drivers about a police speed
trap was hauled in front of the courts on Thursday.
Dean Davies, 27, of Southbrook, gave slow down signs to speedy motorists
when he was cycling in Tollgate Hill after spotting traffic cops.
<...>
Rhiannon Sadler, prosecuting, told the court how cyclist Davies waved at
drivers in front of a police speed check in April.
She said: "It was clear to officers that vehicles were being affected by
his actions and an officer warned him he risked being arrested for
obstructing police.

Really! If speeding *was* the cause of accidents, they would give him
a citation for slowing motorists down, without having to deal with the
paperwork associated with tickets.

Boy do I agree with you on this one. The police always claim they set
up speed trap to encorage motorist to obey the law. This kids was just
helping them implement the stated goal.
Next thing you know they will they will be arresting people for having
ADT signs on their lawn, or participating in community watch programs.
Afterall, we don't want to discourage people from breaking the law, we
want want them to break the law and then get caught.....
