Here's one to push some buttons.

I didn't see any pictures, so I don't know what type of RV it was, Could
have been anything from a little Class C, up to a big motor coach.

BTW, RV owner is from FLA.

How did it also release the parking brake?

Magic.... the same magic that made the VW's speed be a signicant part of the
reason it was totaled.... the same magic regarding how it was left
running... stupid media. The VW's speed might have created a few drag
marks on the side if that.

OF course, had the VW driver been driving 45 instead of 35, she might
have passed the point in question before the RV got there..... As a
certain someone here likes to say, "SLOTH KILLS!"

Kinda tough to do that there. It's about 150' from the intersection of PA
routes 309, 663 & 313, a very busy and congested intersection. SL is 40
mph. I try to avoid it when possible, but hard to do sometimes.

I also suspect the reporting is wrong in some details. Knowing that
paper, I doubt the RV was running (imagine a snow bird wasting gas).
Probably slipped into neutral, or left it in neutral.

BTW, the diner has good food, and monster size burgers.

Sounds like the FL driver ended up with quite an expensive burger.

Dang...it's a good argument against owning a VW Jetta, if while doing
35 it gets totaled by an RV doing 5.

It doesn't take much side damage to total a car if it is a few years old.
If anything structural bent at all, it's going to be an expensive repair.
I would expect that to happen just from the mass of the RV.

Wrestling match results: RV 1, Jetta 0.

I've heard of an RV Dump, but this is the first time I've heard of
someone dumping their RV!
