I receieved this link in an e-mail and thought it was priceless.
Apparently it's an attempt to calm down a cop in a method that's
sweeter than a bribe.

I can't see how a cop would perceive this in any way other than an
extreme insult. Definitely NOT how I want to start my encounter with
someone who can "find a reason" to throw me in jail for the night.

It might delay the trip to the jail...long enough for the cop to
finish laughing and regain composure in order to fill out the citation.

I'm sure there are cops out there who have a sense of humor and who
would laugh. But with my luck I'd get pulled over by a humorless
Jaybird type who would cuff me, stuff me, and charge me with attempted
bribery.

Yeah, that along with the "Good cop!  Here's a donut." bumpersticker.
