<...>

Ruby Wallace was stopped by Alexandria police two weeks ago and when the
officer ran her license plate it was listed as canceled.

Wallace said, .I asked him what was that ticket for he said I had
cancelled license plates I told him that had to be a mistake..

APD said they followed procedure by removing her plate and impounding her
car.  Wallace got a letter from the DMV saying that the plates were
listed as canceled due to a computer error.  She used that letter to get
the plates back.  In the meantime her 95 accord was racking up a bill at
with the towing company at $17 a day it was up to $430.

She said, .It.s frustrating because they made a mistake but they want me
to pay for it.  The lady at the DMV told me to borrow the money..

<...But thanks to the power of TV...>

Eric Mendoza, owner of American Towing, told us that he would take a loss
and let Wallace pick up her car for free, since he had the evidence that
her license plate was current and legal.

Wallace is thankful for his kindness and she also gives us a little credit.

.News Channel 5 is definitely on my side..

Those who can, do. Those who can't do, teach. Those who can't teach,
govern.

Someone is forced to do the right thing.

Noce of him to do that, but the idiots in the DMV and the PD should be
the ones footing the bill, not Wallace or Mendoza.

seems that she could recover the costs of being without her car, like car
rental fees. It WAS a wrongful taking of her property.

If she's willing to pay a good lawyer many times more and wait years,
maybe.

Sooner or later the gubment will end up doing this to someone with a
short fuse like Timothy McViegh, and all the gubment employees will be
crying "why?"

Well I have my doubts about who McViegh really was. There was certainly
something very shady going on around him. I'll leave that for people to do
their own research. It's some interesting stuff if history and how
governments manipulate people and cover things up etc is one of your
things.

Anyway, yeah... they wonder what makes people 'snap'. It's because of this
infinite tolerance model. That we are all supposed to be infinitely
tolerant one assholish thing done to us after another. To always 'turn the
other cheek'. Now I suppose if were all as perfect as Jesus Christ that
would be an achievable model around which to build a society. The thing
is, Aproximately 99.99999999% of the humans aren't so perfect and don't
have an infinite tolerance. So eventually people just snap, especially
those that hold the anger in.... 'serenity now'.

Was he "just a patsy" like Lee Harvey Oswald?

"Gunnysacking" is what that's called, and it's damned unhealthy.
Causes all kinds of issues from high blood pressure to insomnia.
Better to engage in a little Primal Scream therapy right then and
there, and call that Soccermom who cut you off a "f.cking c.nt!" at
the top of your lungs. Get all the anger out immediately, let it go,
and forget about it. That's what I do.

I refered you to some of the articles in the past. There are some parallels
and I wouldn't say patsy, more like sheep-dipped. He was involved, that
hasn't been questioned, what has been is who he was really working for
and with. The government's painting of him seems to have been done to
suit its political needs.

Bingo! Which is why I laugh every time I hear about a "road rage"
incident. Yeah, someone got out of line, but that person got out of
line because the "victim" pushed him over it. The people who die or
are otherwise injured by "road ragers" need to look internally, not
externally, for fault to blame for their predicament.

Not only should they be footing the bill, but they should have to pay
penalties, just like civilians have to when the circumstances are
reversed.

So... why was she stopped, originally?

It sounds as if she received more than one ticket...

Who at APD said that, and which code did they cite?

Section:    III Safety Responsibility Laws    Effective:     10/28/1986
Number:    18.00
SURRENDER OF LICENSE AND REGISTRATION
R.S. 32:1022
Any individual whose license or registration has been suspended or
whose policy or insurance (SR-22) or bond has been cancelled or
terminated or who has failed to furnish other proof of insurance as
required is to immediately return his/her license, and registration,
including any vehicle plates registered in his/her name to the
Department. Failure to do so will result in the issuance of an order
to a Safety Enforcement Officer to secure these items and return same
to the Department.

> Wallace got a letter from the DMV saying that the plates were

When?  How?  By mail?  Did she arrange to get the letter by phone?

Did she speak to anyone at the DMV of any authority?  Did she contact
the SOS?  The AG?  Did the "reporter" do any of those things?  Did the
"reporter" ask a single question of -anyone- but the victim?

> She used that letter to get

That's 25 days, did this woman not get a court date within that
time?!  If so, what was the disposition?  If not, when is her court
date?  Does that $430 include the tow?

> She said, .It.s frustrating because they made a mistake but they want me

Who is "they"?  I would be surprised to learn clerks at the DMV are
authorized to dispense funds to rectify errors of this nature.

> The lady at the DMV told me to borrow the money.

Why?!  I guess if you told her you didn't have the money, that would
be pretty good advice.

> <...But thanks to the power of TV...>

Spurious conclusion; there's no evidence indicating "TV" was of any
influence.  The relationship, as you know of it, is purely casual and/
or coincidental.

> Eric Mendoza, owner of American Towing, told us that he would take a loss

And he can either collect from the city or write it off, so he's out
nothing.

Plus, he gets a little free promo being a "nice guy", if anyone
actually watches such a station that would cover any story so
incredibly poorly.

I think the title "News" is a c-o-n-s-i-d-e-r-a-b-l-e stretch of the
term.  I know were talking about Buttfuck Lousyanna but I'd expect any
6th grader with the same assignment to do far better.

The report raises more questions than it answers.

And the amn with the badge and the gun says, "Your license plate has
been cancelled. I'm taking the plates and impounding your car."
