Drunken driver gets 19 years in fatal collision

Frederick Nichols, 32, was convicted in October of second-degree
murder and multiple other counts, including endangerment, aggravated
driving under the influence, criminal damage and leaving the scene of
an accident involving serious injuries.

Nichols will have to serve every day of a 16-year sentence for
second-degree murder before beginning the rest of his prison time. He
will have to serve 85 percent of his final 3.25 years.
