I don't have any frankensense (whatever that is) or myrrh (spelling?)
and if I had any Gold, I sure as hell wouldn't be giving it out. But, I
do have some new pictures of a road for your holiday viewing pleasure:

http://www.coastalgeorgiaroads.net/GA303/index.html

There are no federal routes in this photo essay. The images are
presented in a viewable 400x300 size in a 2x2 format. Clicking on a
picture will present that image at 800x600 in a new tab (or window if
using IE). You can close that tab (or window) to return to the photo
essay.

Merry CHRISTmas and enjoy the ride.

P.S. If the weather cooperates, I hope to have the F.J. Torras Causeway,
US25/Gloucester St and *maybe* GA25-Spur photographed for presentation
in the next day or two.

Nice...I was on that road in 2003 and have a few photos of the route,
including historical with background information about that route:
http://psr.southeastroads.com/ga303_profile.htm.  Is the Torras
Causeway actually signed now as GA 25 Spur or is that a secret route
designation?  Officially it is "25 Spur E".  It was always state
maintained before, just not as an official route b/c it was a toll
road.

The Torras Causeway doesn't have any signs showing either a state or
county number. The toll was lifted in 2004 and the toll plaza was
removed a year or so later - about all that is left is a large light
stand on the shoulder of the east bound lanes. I'll have some pics of
that and GA25-Spur that runs from US17 to IH95 in the next day or so
(today was a nice low traffic day to get out and take some pictures).

In the mean time, here's a piece on the stretch of US25 on Gloucester St
that is not multiplexed with US341:

http://www.coastalgeorgiaroads.net/gloucester_st/index.html

As for GA303, the realignment that took place in '95 also corresponded
with a widening of Cypress Mill Road/Community Road from 2 lanes to 4
with a center turn lane as well as the bridge crossing the CSX Railyard
just east of Old Jesup Road (CSX has always had a bad habit of bringing
trains in and doing their switching of the rail cars at either about
8:00am or 5:00pm and frustrating alot of people).

One note about Old Jesup Road: There has been some indication that the
GDOT is planning a widening of that road from US341/25 to atleast
Crispen Bl/Cate Rd. I think the reasoning is to provide local traffic a
bypass around the IH95/US341 interchange.
