On Monday, on Woodward Ave in Michigan.  50 mph limit.  You want to go
50 because the lights are timed perfectly for about 7 miles.  I'm in
the 2nd to the left lane (4 lanes wide).  I see a cop in a Dodge
Challenger in a turn around coming to my direction (north).  I see him
pull out into an open left lane, and just floor it.  He blew by me,
easily going 70.   You know it's fast when you can feel the wake of
the passing car.

I figured he was pulling someone over.. NOPE!  Just cruising along.
He got up on the a.s of the guy in front of him, and we travelled
north together for a good 3 miles.  He would slow down, the fly by,
over and over, obviously screwing around with his new ride...
