Scott in SoCal - 07 Mar 2008 04:52 GMT So I'm driving home from work along a road that is squeezing down from 3 lanes into 2. I am in the middle lane behind a brand new Acura TL (so new it still had paper dealer plate inserts) . Just as the right lane is ending, some nasty-looking bitch in a Honda SUV comes flying up in the right lane and forces her way in front of me, behind the Acura. This c.nt then begins tailgating the Acura, even though the road is clogged with traffic and the Acura is in the right lane (i.e. not being an LLB). Seeing a gap in the traffic to my left, I merge into it and begin to pass both of them. As I come abreast of the Acura, I notice that he has lifted his foot off the gas and is slowing down - no doubt he wants to shake this tailgating bitch-on-wheels. Not wanting her to change lanes behind me and begin tailgating me, I also perform a throttle-lift and stay beside her, boxing her in until the cars behind me can close the gap. Once they catch up I speed up again.
The tactic works; she cannot change lanes to the left until two other cars have passed her. She then cuts hard over and begins tailgating a different car.

Sometimes a mere throttle-lift is not sufficient; sometimes a throttle- lift combined with a downshift is needed.

Every light has a right turn lane that also allows vehicles to go straight. So, all the MFFY's cue up in that lane and race off to get ahead. Of course there's nowhere to go, so they are forcibly merging in.. its a very poor design and seems to encourage road rage. I see scenarios like you describe every day on that road. I mostly like the jerks who stay in the right lane all the way till the end and merge as if they have no responsibility. just force their way to the left... and they usually don't stop there but keep forcing until they are in the leftmost lane. Never removing cellphone from face.

I thought this was a pretty standard way of getting these arseholes further back and away from one's own bumper...

Technically he wasn't because he accelerated as the cars caught up to him, therefore he didn't block anyone but the MFFY.
It's best to have a tailgating MFFY behind you by at least a few cars. You don't want that person tailgating you and you don't want him/her ahead of you because they will cut off and force their way in up ahead causing delays and need to take evasive action as people jam on the brakes and otherwise act to avoid collisions with the MFFY and people dodging the MFFY.

Uh... block one car, you're an LLB, by r.a.d. definition and standard.
The r.a.d. standard of desire and any indication to attain higher velocity requires that the LLB yield or accelerate to whatever velocity the driver to their rear should indicate is appropriate, immediately, and without question.
May an LLB continue to LLB because the vehicle to their immediate rear is tailgating? Or if they aren't, but the vehicle behind them is?
May they pace the vehicle to their R, because a vehicle is tailgating that vehicle?

What do you do if this moron is behind you? http://blip.tv/file/454385 -----

So I changed lanes. :) Oh, I didn't understand, I thought you deliberately drove along side her and matched speed with the Acura so as to block in the agressive driver. Sorry, I apologize, I thought you were being a jerk. Clearly you were being your normal non-agressive considerate self.

This sarcasm is pretty surprising from Ed "I'll take as long as I bloody well please to complete my pass" White. Of course, I only do this passive-aggressive stuff to MFFYs who clearly deserve it; you do it indiscriminately.

Yes I do. Two jerks pulling stunts is at least twice as bad as one. You constantly whine and moan about MFFY actions, yet when you do something that is exactly the sort of MFFY thing you complain about, you claim it is justified. Why, are you special? From your many self righteous posts complaining about others, it is clear you think you have the right to judge others. Now it is clear you also think you are above the rest of us and have the right to do the very sort of thing you criticize others for. How about the cars you held up to create your little rolling road block? They certainly have the right to call you a MFFYer.

Make all the excuses you want, you are guilty of pulling exactly the sort of crap you complain about when others do it. So you are a MFFYer and a hypocrite too.

When I shoot someone just because I'm a mean old a.shole, that's murder (MFFY). When I shoot someone who shot me first, that's self-defense. Self-defense *is* justified.

Next time simply throw the a-hole drive the bird as he passes instead of holding up everyone and escalating a bad situation.

>and escalating a bad situation. I escalated nothing. I simply prevented a known tailgater from getting directly behind me, thus preventing her from tailgating me - purely a defensive move. If anyone was holding people up, it was the guy in the Acura TL who was doing the throttle lift.

Impossible, unless another driver was following you so closely as to prevent your nemesis from changing lanes behind you.

For someone who seems to get so much practice lying, you suck at it. -----

The only reason they do such things is because they can get away with it. ....because enablers LET them do it.
