The chicago fox station keeps running this promo for something on their
news about some woman who's car was hit by a train at a crossing without
a gate or lights..... and it ends with 'the law that protects the
railroads'....
Guess they won't let that thing about trains having right of way stop
them from trumping up the collision as the fault of the railroad.

Unless the train was going too fast through that crossing, it should be
difficult to not see or hear a train coming. This Sloth was probably
like that other Sloth that turned onto the tracks and got stuck, then
refused to get out of the car to avoid being hit by the train.
It's the same with avoiding red-light runners and drink-drivers. I will
usually check every intersection before entering it, and without
delaying the traffic. If somebody did attempt to go through on red,
there would be enough time to stop or accelerate and avoid the collision.

So, you haven't felt any need to see the actual program, 6 words of
the promo are plenty for you to draw a conclusion...?
Boy, you sure must be "knowledgeable" about trains and their
operation.
