D.C. Streetcars Await Track Construction
Three streetcars purchased by the District of Columbia for about $10
million are being held in the Czech Republic until the city builds
tracks for the cars.
D.C. Department of Transportation (web|news) Director Emeka Moneme say
that although the streetcars were purchased three years ago, there is no
timetable for when a rail line will be built.
