Was out and about early this AM and took GA25-spur from IH95 to US17
while headed back for my humble abode.
The road is a 4 lane limited access road with at grade intersections
with traffic lights about every 0.75 miles or so, give or take about
0.5mi.
As I exited 95 and got on to the spur, Lou Bega's, "Mambo #5," statred
playing on the sound system, so I kicked up the volume and bass as I
headed down the road. Now, this road can be painful to drive in
traffic if you wind up hitting every red light along the way, so in a
way, I was hoping to irritate a few people with the tunes.
Not this AM (Damn, I wish I'd had the camera going). Traffic was light
and lo and behold, I got the green at almost every intersection -
either didn't have to slow down at all or only braked minimally -
except the 5th light (at Altama Ave) and even then, I only had to wait
about 15sec for the green before I was on my way (co-incidentally,
Mambo #5 finished palying and the CD went to the next track as I
approached this intersection). Hit the green perfectly at light #6,
took the curve from the spur to US17 at about 60 for an almost perfect
ride home after a couple of turns.....
Sofar, today, life is good....
