Yes, once again a whole shitload of morons in East Haven, CT wait in
line for hours just to get a tank full of cheap gasoline. Some of
these dorks slept in their cars overnight while they waited for the
gas station to open at 6:00 AM.
What a bunch of no-life-having motherf..kers!!!

Worth it if your tank is large enough- say a few hundred gallons!

It depends on how much a person makes per hour or how much they value
sleep.
I'll put a price on my sleep of at least $30/hour.
Net savings is $3/gal. Time investment is roughly 8 hours.
8hr*$30/hr=$240 $240/$3/gal = 80gallons.
Somehow I think showing up with a vehicle with mad-max modifications
will not be tolerated... then there is the cost of the mad-max style
mods.

Howabout a minivan with a near-empty 20-gallon tank and (10) 5-gallon gas
containers in the cargo area? :) -Dave

Or a Team Polezei BMW with a racing fuel cell in the trunk?

Heck, my F-150 probably holds close to 40 gallons without any mods at
all. I know it cost me over $80 to fill it up last time, and that was
probably two months ago.

I'd settle for topping off the 11-gallon tank in the Deathmaschine
with prices what they are...

lol....
""What time did you get here?"
"10:30," said Jake Pollack from Bethany.
"Why did you spend all night here?"
"Because it's worth it for me to save the amount of money for gas," Jake
responded."
A night's sleep is worth $45? ($4/gal * 15 gal - $1/gal * 15gal)
assuming an average sized car fuel tank. Or in pay terms... ~8hours for
$45 works out to a huge $5.63 an hour. I'd guess a night shift at the
7-11 pays more these days.
At least tell the reporter that you enjoy the circus of the event and
that's why you are there... Better to appear strange than stupid.

<spit take> This from a guy who spends a significant portion of his
time, and that of his employer, on Usenet.
Luckily, my new irony meter has an "r.a.d." setting.

Have it recalibrated.
Fortunately, most people's mental filters (or software ones) have a
"gpstroll" setting.

gpstroll, being a lowskilled type is unfamiliar with jobs that aren't of
the physical labor variety apparently.
