He would not tell the truth, but he wouldn't exactly lie either. He'd
just repeat his earlier lie, as recorded on the ticket, without even
remembering whether or not he lied on that particular occasion.
Police testimony is largely unrelated to the truth.

I friend of mine noted that if the wheels haven't stopped, the car
must be moving. It's so easy to write up tickets for that it's silly
to do anything else but stop.
Next time you're riding shotgun with someone, set your eye to look
just under the exterior mirror and you'll see the road surface still
passing under the mirror when the car feels stopped to the driver.
Tell him / her there it wasn't a complete stop, and you'll get an
arguement.- it's even [posible to feel a "roll-back" that really isn't
- it's just a let up on braking force..
