Bimbo in a red Acura MDX driving in the rightmost of 4 northbound
lanes. This lane is eventually going to end, and is clearly marked as
such (in CA they mark such lanes with thick dashed lane separation
lines). Bimbo makes no move to change lanes despite no other cars
anywhere near her. Of course, at the last possible moment she wakes
up, makes a mad dash across the gore point, cuts across the rightmost
through lane (in front of me, but not so close that I had to take
evasive action), and settles into the middle lane. As I pass, I see
the boom of a bluetooth headset parked in front of her rapidly
flapping gums.

It's not the handheld phone that's distracting, people - it's the
CONVERSATION.

Q: What's the difference between a traffic snake and a real one?
A: The traffic snake's a.shole at the *front* end.

So true.

But the cell phone industry doesn't want to lose all that business,
nor do the accessory suppliers.  Those Bluetooth headsets ain't cheap.

[I got a plain Panasonic headset at Staples for my cellphone which was
much cheaper.  But I don't use it, even though legal, 'cause it really
is distracting.  Plus it's cumbersome to have a conversation when I
have to pause to focus on driving and can't listen to the person at
the other hand, and have to keep repeating "what?"]

Actually, so UNTRUE.

It NOT the phone - it's the MORON behind the wheel.

What you talkin' about Willis?

I don't pay by the minute and neither do most Americans.

Actually, they are very inexpensive - probably much less than you spent
on fast food last month.

Amortize that over a few year and it amounts to nothing.

Now there's a smart consumer - look for the best deal on something, buy
it and then never use it!

Good job!
