<SNIP>

That figure will depend on how you choose to operate the vehicle.

Subtracting 30% from the published EPA figures should put you in the
ballpark if you drive conservatively.

The pump is in the tank.  I don't know what a "(srt)" is.
My son has the same car, engine, trans, etc.
He gets 24-25 around town.  30-31 freeway.

Paulie ,

SRT is a sports model classification - you know like GM's LE , SE, LS,
GS, SS, etc/.......

My consumer guide doesn't list a SRT Stratus 4 door, only SXT & R/T's.

MPG is 21/28 on the 147 horsepower sohc 2.4 and 22/30 on the 150
horsepowered dohc 2.4 engine.

Oh. Yeah. I should have thought of that.

the srt mention was probably in error, the sxt sounds more like it.

it's an '05  2.4L w/automatic, 4-door sedan.

runs good, not the best to get in / out of, and not as comfortable as
some.

the mpg in the city is a lousy 15, the hiway mileage is 31.

how much affect does using gasoline with 10% ethanol (no choice), have
on mpg?

the 15 mpg would indicate most of the mileage was done in stop n go
traffic, and first gear driving mode, which is stretching a point, to
make a point.

*15 mpg is lousy, and should be addressed in a way other than by driving
habits.

*my primary concern.

you know, 22-26 city and 26-32 hiway - should be the norm, looks to me
like.?????
