Im doing the rear drum brakes on a Corolla. After I got the drums back
from being
resurfaced, they put yellow dots on them. Is this some kind of
balancing mark? What is the correct relationship to place the drum back
on the hub?

Has nothing to do with balance or anything...my guess is they had more
than one set of similar drums to turn, and wanted to make sure they
didn't get them mixed up....

Around here the scrapyards all put yellow or white marks on their used
parts to ID them. I would guess you just got a pair off the shelf that
were already done and someone else is getting yours when they get around
to turning them. Or they just ID'ed them anyway
