2001 crown vic working on rear wheel bearings
Finally I have some time to replace these bearings.  i sat down today
after reading a bit on it and absorbing information from the guys at
checker.

According to all data i need to use a bearing puller to get them out,
however, checker has never heard of this tool, i even printed off the
all data picture of it, they claim to not stock it.

How do I get these bearings out?

You need a tool that hooks behind the bearing and seal and attaches to a
slide hammer and can pull out the bearing, Napa catalogue shows this tool
also.

There are several different methods, none of them exactly
factory-approved.  A number of auto shops, or rental yards, rent
bearing pullers.

You should call around.  The proper tool is a few hundred bucks to buy.
