After changing the fuel pressure regulator, the engine will not start
however in the process of changing the regulator, I found what I think
is called the EGR Tube, where it hooks into the intake manifold. It was

completely stopped off with carbon and grease I cleaned everything
thoroughly without damaging anythingg and everything that came apart
when back together
And with confidence I say everything it was just right, no pushing or
banging, it felt good if you know what I mean,..
thank you for your previous and future response
I have acode 55 now as well

Any help is appreciated, I am stuck in the driveway, can't get to work

I didn't see your first post but I can tell you that code " 55" just
means "end of test" ... I think you should have had a code "12" at the
beginning if I'm correct, and that means begin of test.

You need to give a little more info, such as what year is this van, what
engine do you have ???  Also, why did you replace the fuel pressure
regulator ? Did it run before you replaced the fuel pressure regulator ??
Was the check engine light on ?  If yes, what were the codes ?

Thanks so much for your quick reply!  1988 Dodge Caravan -3.0
I replaced the fuel pump regulator, cleaning and unclogging everything
gently along the way, and  I guess the spark plugs were too laden with
carbon, at that point, to spark.  Upon someone's suggestion, I got all
new plugs and cranked it right up!!! :-)

Thanks again!!!!!

Thanks again
