so i have a 2000 vw cabrio, manual transmission, and just last week it
started stalling/hesitating whenever i shift up to 2nd gear. the best
way i can describe this is it hesitatates/stalls. kind of like if the
fuel injector's were clogged. but obviously if that was the case it
wouldn't only happen when going to 2nd. other than that, the car could
not run any better. any clues anyone?

perhaps is a loose wire - I'd take a good look at and around the shifting
linkage

how many miles and when was the last time you had it serviced - tune-up?
