Any one had any personal experience on this. I have read on some
forums that it could be the sender or the plug near the tank/wiring. I
was hoping for a easier fix than pulling the tank. Thanks, Mike

I had an older Ford that this happened to me; both the Temp and Gas
gauge went full scale. Long story short there was a "Constant voltage
regulator" on the back side of the instrument cluster that keeps the
gauges from wild swings acting as a buffer. This may be what your
problem is if the gauge circuit hasn't changed on the newer cars. Not
a big job to replace, I think it took me 30 min.

Thanks Rick but the Temp gauge is ok so that might not be it. Thanks
for responding. Mike

Had to replace my sending unit due to rust. The connector fell apart
due to exposure to gas fumes.
