Not a dumb question. I've seen way too many rear seats wrecked because
some moronic grease monkey didn't know how the seat cushion came out.

Note the first page is for the fold-down type, and the second is for
the non-folding type.
The most important thing to remember is that the seat BACKS must
come off FIRST. Once you've done that, the bolt at the rear of the
cushion must be removed. The cushion itself then pivots up and
forwards, until the front hooks disengage from their holes.
DO NOT attempt to just yank the front hooks out of their holes! This
will bend the wire and possibly tear the foam!!!!

This may be closer to your '96. I don't actually have the pages for
'96. The basic procedure should be the same though.
