Came out of store after shopping all day,Vehicle wont turn over,Battery is
newer,Headlights are bright but dont dim when trying to start like voltage
not going to starter. Checked both battery cables and are tight.Dash lights
are all on when key is in run position but all go off when turn to start
position including radio lights.Engine light the only one to stay on. Im
wondering if theft system is activated and how to clear? Ive heard leaving
key on for 10 minutes then try to start resets this,Any ideas are
appreciated!

Might be theft deterrent, or 'neutral safety switch'.   Dunno about
newer vehicles, but try turning the key into start position, and then
jiggling the gear selector.  Sometimes if the switch is funky that'll
get you started.

Otherwise, I dunno.
