I've decided to get some lowering springs for my Grand Am, but I was
wondering if any of you had any opinions to which one has a better
ride? Both seem like a good choice, but I'm not sure as to which one is
better quality, ride, etc. Any ideas?

AREN'T YOU THE GUY WHO WAS COMPLAINING ABOUT STIFF REPLACEMENT SHOCKS????

And, now you're asking advice on how to stiffen up your suspension????

Are you some kind of a TROLL????

Shorter, stiffer, "performance" springs are NOT the answer.......

As far as which has the better ride, I'm going to say neither.......Your
stock OEM setup will be much better.

And, PLEASE do not get on here after installing one of these "kits"
complaining about how stiff the ride is.......

.....not unless you are prepared to be flamed into oblivion, that is.

Well, you sure are friendly...
Yeah, I am getting aftermarket springs, do you have a problem with it?
I was asking for opinions on the matter, not someone freaking out on me
because I asked for some advice. All I stated in my previous post was
that the ride was pretty stiff with the crappy gabriels, and now that I
have an OEM setup, my style of driving is causing wallowing in the
corners, hence the reason why I want lowering "kits"

If you think you had a "crappy" ride with the Gabriels, just wait until you
get the lowering kit installed, Bucko!

You are in for a giant - probably expen$ive - lesson in ride technology.

But, your ride preferences do not coincide with your alleged handling
preferences.....

If you want to drive it hard, you will need to tolerate a stiffer
suspension.......

If you want a softer ride, you will need to tolerate less precise
handling......

There are no compromises......

Better handling requires stiffer ride while softer ride sacrifices
handling....period.

Yeah, Well I have the OEM setup now, and it rides exactly the same as
before, which confuses me. I do not understand how there can be
absolutely no difference in ride. Answer this for me:  I press down on
the front of the car, and can get hardly any "flex" out of the
suspension, why is this? I've tried this on similar Grand Am's and they
have MUCH more flex in their suspensions, even the new/tight 05's. Why
is this?

I already mentioned a number of possibilities in answer to your original
post......

.....didn't you read them?

Or is everybody just wasting their time trying to help you out while you
run off and post opposing statements?

No, but you will, according to what he's saying.

And you somehow think that the lowering springs won't cause a stiff
ride?  I can tell you from personal experience with the H&R Sports on a
VW Scirocco that they will a) make your car ride like it has no springs
at all and b) handle like a freakin' slot car.  Of course, you have a
Grand Am so "like a slot car" is relative, but I can state with pretty
good assurance that if you didn't like well-damped shocks, you REALLY
won't like "sport" springs.  I don't know if you can get something like
Neuspeed SofSports for your car but that may be a compromise (although
I still suspect that you won't be happy with the ride.)

I'm not knocking the H&R springs, far from it.  I loved my old roccet
and it put a smile on my face every time I drove it.  I'm just saying
that based on your previous posts that this is not the suspension setup
for you.  I'd stick with stock and save my money for a car that has
better handling from the factory, if you find yourself driving too
aggressively for the car.

Yeah I did read your other posts actually. And I did go with an OEM
setup, as many of you suggested. Didn't you read MY response on that
post? Apparantly not. If your wasting your time reading my posts then
why don't you just go "give your excellent advice on how much of a
troll they are, or complaining about me starting a new post about a
subject completely different from the previous post?"

Anyways, Thanks for the advice Nate. I do understand your point you are
trying to make, and I believe that I will stick with the stock springs.
Thanks again.
