roaring noise mystery solved

It was, ta da, a wheel bearing.  Thanks to a great gang !!
Right front outer, btw.  Pitted pretty bad....... amazing the wheel
still rolled.  I took the advice to check it immediately and
I'd say that was a good call : - )
