I was driving down the road and came to a stop.  When I tried to
continue, my van didn't give any gas and just died.  It would not crank
back over.  When I added gas to my carborator, it kicked right back over
but car when dead when gas was gone from the carborator.  Does this
sound like it would be my fuel pump?  When I pushed on the gas, I heard
like a little pop and my gauges went bizerk.

Proper testing is in order.
Check fuel pressure wih a pressure gauge.
If good fuel pressure check for lose of injector pulse.
And you need to check out that poping and gauges.
What engine and fuel system do you have?
