I work for a large rebuilder.  Lately we have been seeing a lot of burned
Low/Rev clutches.  Doesn't seem to be bad or wrong parts, or rebuilder error.
No failed seals etc.  Any ideas?  Overheat program mode shifts?  high engine
brake torque at low line pressure?  Electronic problem?

If you could get your boss to spring for a tech membership to iAtn
(www.iatn.net) you would all have access to a large resource of really
good info and discussion from sharp techs.  They have a specific forum
just for transmissions.  You can also send out email-based tech
questions to anyone that subscribes to the questions regarding the
vehicle or system type you are having difficulty with.  It's really
cheap for the info and resources available.

If you do find out, let us know.  I'm really curious.
