IAT Sensor question

I am getting p0113 code (IAT Sensor high). Can this cause poor
performance at higher speed?
Car is very sluggish after it gets above 35mph...

The IAT (Intake Air Temperature) sensor measures air temperatures going
into the motor. If the IAT sensor sees air temperatures too high, the
computer usually pulls timing to avoid knock.

That could very well be the problem. What kind of car are we talking
about here?
