I am having a difficult time finding out the identification numbers for
the transmission valve to determine if it is a green dot valve body or
not.  I have a 1965 Ford Galaxie 500  with a 352 motor, FMX
transmission, cruiseomatic, 3-speed automatic, and  four door sedan.

Problem areas I have been encountering is losing transmission fluid
possibly through the dipstick but not sure after a certain amount of
time running....  When this happens, fluids ends up on my exhaust pipe
and I lose power to move the vehicle....  The transmission does not
seem to work properly given the length of time that the car is driven.
I have checked the transmission fluid and have changed the fluid and I
am still getting a rust coloration in the transmission fluid.  At take
off there is hesitation.

I have been having a hard time trying to find information on the valve
body so I  can determine if it has a green dot valve body or
not.......and if that is the cause of the problem.  I would appreciate
whatever valuable information you could tell me and also if you happen
to know of any internet sites that would help me look up such numbers
concerning the valve body....

Sincere Thanks,
Amy
