What to buy ? a 4 cyl SUV ?
My sister lives in the San Fran Bay Area, CA. She has 2 children who
are 16 and 14. So they are quite tall.
She is looking for a 4 cylinder SUV that will accomodate her kids
comfortably in the rear seat.
She does not need a 4x4 / all AWD.
She was told that she would have to buy 6 or 8 cyl SUVs if she wants
more leg room at the back for her kids.
Are there any 4 Cyl SUVs that have the leg room at the rear seats for
her children ?
Any suggestions ?
Thanks

Uh, so what she's looking for is a tall/large two wheel drive WAGON then?
And what is so wrong with 6 or 8 cylinders? My 8 cylinder Trans Am gets
better fuel economy on the highway than my 4 cylinder Subaru. (28 vs 27)
Methinks you need to rethink this. Why are you asking what you're asking?

Toyota Highlander is available with 4 cylinder and front wheel drive
only. One of the best out there.

Are you talking new or used? If late-model used, the Hyundai Santa Fe
came in a four-cylinder, FWD model, and is pretty roomy. (The new 2007
model only seems to come with V6.)
