Steve Smith Autosports out in California has a whole series of
chassis-building books for various types of cars - primarily oval-track.
(Do a Google)
Also, there are the Carroll Smith " ******* To Win" (Engineer, Prepare, &
Tune) along with his "Nuts, Bolts Fasteners & Plumbing" books covering
engineering.
Then, if you look in the automotive sections at better quality bookstores
such as Barnes & Noble, you'll find Herb Adams' "Chassis Engineering",
Forbes Ayrd's "Racecar Chassis Design & Construction", among others.
If you cannot understand these basic books, you probably have no business
trying to design and build automotive chassis.
Chassis design and constructuion does not lend itself to self-proclaimed
morons.

I don't believe Staniforth's "Competition Car Suspension" is appropriate
for someone who describes himself using the word "moron" and the
phrase.....
".......good with me hands but not the
sharpest stick in the bunch, so it must be aimed at the man in the
street."

So just read "Race and Rally Car Source Book" They don't come much
simpler than that.
