It WAS cutting out intermittently @ various speeds, more so @ slower
ones (esp. in rain and up hill)

Previous owners rebuilt transmission, replaced torque converter & Fuel
Filter

I recently (last 2 weeks) replaced:
plugs
wires
dist cap
rotor
Oil & filter

If I accelerate slowly it will sorta cut out, if I accelerate very
slowly, it will die.

Any idea what might be causing this?

any input appreciated!

Bad fuel pump - test the fuel pressure
gunked up throttle body - clean

sounds like a lot of shotgunning on this one and no real diagnosis.

Hey, when Ur right, Ur right!

I'm shotguning, from the hip @ that! =)

Taking what OTHERS know and trying to apply it in ways that do NOT
break my precious transportation. BEFORE I pay some a small fortune to
get the thing up and running again.

Good plan! Don't do any diagnostic work no matter what it costs to keep
hanging new parts.

So, I tried Bob's plan, but that's not working.

What is the best way to check fuel pump / pressure.
being a 2000 and garaged, I wouldn't bet that a line is cracked even a
small amount. I've never had anything but condensation from AC Cmprsr
on my garage floor.

Thanks for looking and for the *helpful* posts.

from what I've read it doesn't look like I've got a schrader valve on
this vehicle. :(

I've also noticed that the engine never cuts out while you're driving
around. There is no problem driving down the highway. However, @ really
low speeds, in other words, going from a complete stop to 5mph it will
die if you accelerate slowly, however, if you drive a little faster, it
picks up fine.

any help is appreciated.

alright, Napa dood says to check the EGR & the vacuum hoses coming off
of that (3 of 'em) I pulled 'em off looked @ 'em and they're NOT
cracked, they're all flexible and fine, so I'm not sure what to think
of THAT...anyway, it seems to have stopped...not sure though.

driving some more to see what we get from 0-5mph.

can the EGR go bad and cause this or does it just go bad and not start?
