I have a 1995 Jeep Wrangler with a 2.5 liter 4 cyl. auto. Begining
several months ago, I had problems starting it. The problem in the
begining almost seemed climate related. The Jeep would not start in
the AM. As the afternoon came around the jeep would always start. It
didn't take long to realize that in the AM the fuel pump would not
run. In the afternoon it always came on.
Now that temperatures are freezing the fuel pump will seldom start. I
have noticed if I turn the key to the run position (not crank) then
punch the accellerator and go under the hood and depress the valve
stem in my fuel pressure test port, the fuel pump will then start and
the vehicle will run. Can anyone please help?
