Looking for a cooling system diagram for a GM pickup with the LSx engine. I
am putting a 4.8L (LM4) engine in another car & want to be sure that I
understand what's what with the cooling system. This is from a 2002
Silverado.
Thx

Scott, there are about 10 different electrical wiring diagrams alone for
that engine in a 2002 Silverado pickup. Then there are several more
diagrams, comprising sometimes several pages each showing a separate cooling
sensor of different sorts. Would be best for you to go to a library or
borrow a service manual from a Chevy dealer. I have Mitchell, but there are
entirely too many printouts to efficiently copy and send. Sorry to have it
and not be able to furnish it.
Another idea would be to "borrow" the donor pickup so you can
"copy-and-paste" to your recipient car. That's what I did installing a '95
LT1 from a Z-28 into an '86 S10 Blazer. Was much more beneficial than the
wiring diagrams/schematics for the Z-28. Luck to you, s PS: Should you
need anything SPECIFIC, I may be able to help. s

What I need is not electrical diagrams, but the cooling system diagram.
There are some weird hoses involved, and want to be sure that I know
direction of water flow for heater system. Also, the head on these engines
have steam vents, which I want to route to the intake side of the water
pump. I'm pretty sure I know how it works, but just want to be certain.
