Hi,

I've tried to find the answers to my questions elsewhere, but with no
luck, so hopefully someone here can help.

I would like to know the specs for a typical 1978 chev 350 engine -
power, torque and the engine weight.

Thanks in advance.

78 350 4bbl, 170 hp@3800 rpm / 270 ft lbs torque@2400 rpm / 4.000"
bore x 3.480" / 8.4:1 comp ratio

Long block, (block, heads, intake, oil pan, valve covers, timing
cover), weight around 450/500 lbs. Don't have exact weight. I can
probably find it, but thats close.
