when the vehicle is parked idling, the temperture
starts to rise, i turn the heater fan high and that seems to bring the
temp down.it smells like
antifreeze, but can't seem to locate where it's
leaking, if it's leaking. the antifreeze is good.
i changed the coolant sensor, but problem is still
present. could it be the waterpump and where is that located on the
engine? help!

see if your cooling fans are comming on @ around 218deg/  also open your
hood and look dircetly above above the water pump on the hood you will see
wet marks or steaks if leaking/the water pumps is locate under the small
black cover //left top of engine// over the belt, it has the belt routing
on it. 3100 and 3400 engines also leak at the intake gasket you can see
this from top view of engine, look near the cts sensor where the head and
intake join. hope this helps  russ
