Hi, I blew a hose on the power steering on a 76 caddy convertable and
had it repaired.  Now the hoses heat up like it is boiling the fluid
and when you shut the enging off the fluid is forced out the top of
the power steering pump.

Any suggestions.

Thanks

Could be a defective pressure relief valve in the pump.
Internal relief valves are designed for protection for brief periods of
time, if a faulty valve bypasses pressure continuously the fluid temperature
will rise significantly.
