1995 nissan altama gxe (no break lights)

1995 nissan altama gxe (no break lights) i checked the break light
switch, fuses, bulbs. can it be the third break light bulbs out? would
this cause break lights to fail? i have running lights and signels.
please help!

How did you check these?

Is there voltage at the switch?
