People at Autozone KNOW it's good for the bottom line!!!

"ChemTool"  liquid is the only thing that I have ever found that
actually works. I put a full can in a 1/4 full gas tank and run
it down as low as possible before filling up with gas.
Works for me.

I believe the Tecron fuel treatment is the only in tank treatment worth
anything.

The 3M fuel injector cleaner system works quite well, but it's a bit
involved and more expensive initially given the $100+ for the equipment,
after that the cans of cleaner are pretty cheap and the total cost isn't
unreasonable. You can order the 3M setup from a good auto parts place.

Looks like abt $200 or more to me

Inflation.

Good system though, hard to beat for convenience and cheap enough once
you have the equipment.

It's a soap, mixed with some light hydrocarbon vehicle.  It will keep gunk
in the fuel line in suspension, and it will maybe clean some stuff out of
the fuel injection system.  It's basically the same detergent that is already
in the gasoline you buy, just more of it.

If, however, you actually have a gunked-up fuel injection system or a dirty
throttle body and intake, there is no gasoline additive that will help you.
You need to actually go in and do some scrubbing.

Some of the stuff that is added to the air intake, like Sea Foam, can help
with gunked up intakes, but it's still a lot less effective than pulling
the thing apart and working with the rag and some carb cleaner.

Check out the 3M fuel injector cleaner setup, it's close to bench
cleaning the fuel injectors, without actually having to remove them from
the vehicle since it runs 100% cleaning solution through the injectors.

1 pint, more or less of clear 1K kerosene will be the most effective
in my experience. Use it at fill-up and you'll see results after the
2nd tankfull. In essence, its the same product STP or any of the other
on the shelf brands use. I particularly LOVE STP's tag line...made
with JET FUEL!!!  (read-kereosene) too funny.

Unlikely to do better than the 3M system, same for any in tank treatment
given the hopeless dilution levels. The 3M system bypasses the tank and
delivers 100% cleaner to the injectors.
