My 1993 Suzuki  Sidekick with 3 speed auto will shift normally from
1-2,but when it shifts to #3 it just gets a neutral,no pull at
all....Untill it gets hot, then suddenly everything works fine, even
lockup....but if you stop for even 10 minutes it has to be driven in
#2 until it gets hot again. It drives fine in #2 but top speed is about
40mph ....then again, when it gets hot, like after 30-40min. it will
drive/shift normally...Any ideas appreciated!

Thanks,Bob

It sounds like a piston seal is failing in the piston/drum assembly
that engages high gear.  IOW, an overhaul and inspection is needed to
remedy.
