I have a 1988 Ford F-150 4x4 with the straight 6 (4.9L?) engine in it.
I have not had this truck very long at all, maybe two months.
I just filled up the gas tank (the front one) and since then I've
experienced
a problem. When the truck is started from cold it has a fuel leak
under what looks
like the fuel injection at the 2nd cylinder from the front, passenger
side.
I don't see any fuel on the top, but it is steadily dripping down onto
the exhaust(!)
from the bottom of the intake structure.
Is that maybe a faulty injector? The engine starts up and runs just
fine.
I see fuel line in that neighborhood but I don't see any dampness on
the fuel
line or any dripping up there. All of the dripping is below the
intake plumbing.
Is this something I might be able to repair? Or is it off to the Ford
Deal$r?

Depending of you skills and how accessible this is.
First you really have to determine were this leak is. In some cases it's
only a leaked hose to replace.
