I want to change my spark plugs in my Venture 2002, but the back 3 are too
hard to get at.   Is there any good reason that I can't at least replace 3
of the 6 plugs.  Or is it all or nothing deal?    I will be selling the van
in a year from now, so will put a cheap pair of plugs to replace.   (I been
getting bad mileage recently, so replace air filter, which was in a sad
shape.  Also, put fuel injector cleaner in the gas).   Thanks

if your van is mis-firing then you could get away with just replacing
the plugs that are defective. Most people replace all the plugs at
once.

plan on doing those wiores at the same time
you will tear the boots pulling them off in the rear
dropping the exhaust pipe really speeds up the job

From your description it would seem that your van has accumulated a
lot of deferred maintenance.  Replace them all.  And replace all hoses
and belts if needed.  And replace fluids and filters as needed.  Etc.,
etc.

why would you replace 3 of 6 spark plugs with CHEAP plugs and expect
to get better gas mileage? if you are going to half a.s it, don't do
it at all.

If it has the original GM plugs with the tiny platinum tip and less that
100K on it, they'll possibly be better, used, than new aftermarket plugs
anyway.  s
