OBD CONNECTOR LOCATION ON 2002 GRAND AM

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE THE OBD CONNECTOR IS ON A 2002 PONTIAC GRAND A

My information says, it is below the steering column, uncovered.

aren't they required by law to be under the dash on the left side of
the steering column?

On 96 and 97 vehicles, the data link connector has to be visible with the
driver door open and the technician in a kneeling position.

98 and newer, the connector can be almost anywhere, plus, it can be
covered or uncovered. If it is covered, it can't require a tool to remove
the cover.

I saw a chart somewhere, that listed the location of data link connectors
on different year--make models. It was interesting, I don't know how
accurate.
