Hi I am trying to help a buddy with his 2000 Dodge Ram 2500 4WD series
pickup which has dragging front brakes. Dragging to the extent that
the pads smell when you stop. He installed new calipers and hoses,
pads and rotors, new hub and bearing assemblies. With the truck on
jack stands, you can bleed the brakes and the wheel spins normally,
but if you pump the pedal several times and release it, you cannot
spin the wheel. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Bush

Master cylinder pushrod adjusted too long? If pressure remains in the
system either the MC isn't retracting or a return port is blocked.

Does this occur on both front wheels or just one ?  If both I would suspect
a problem with the master cyl. If it is only on one side check the brake hose.
