This morning I replaced 4 tie rod ends (inner + outer) and the pitman
arm on a 95 chevy G10 4.6 v6 van.
Was I supposed to use some type of 'pusher' tool to screw the pitman
arm back on there? I bought a cheap ampro pitman arm puller from
advanced auto parts to take it out but I didn't have a pushing tool so
I just tightned the nut as much as i can. I used a long pipe wrench as
en extension to the wratchet and used all my strength to tighten the
nut to put gear back to its place. I'm still not sure if it went all
the way in..And still not sure if it's suppsed to go in that tough..
Is there antyhing I've done wrong here? What is the proper procedure
to do this job?

I've always found the following procedure to work in all cases:
1 - Get repair manual.
2 - Read repair manual.
3 - Fix car as per instructions in repair manual.
You seem to be doing the steps backwards for some reason.

Never heard of such a tool. If you got it tight as you said & you can
see that the arm is at or near where the old one was on the pitman
shaft, your fine.
