91 eagle talon problems

I picked up a 91 eagle talon for dirt cheap. 2.0 L inline 4. It was
running pretty good and then all the sudden it won't rev past 4 grand
in any gear. It copmletely cuts out at 4 grand then it just sputters
till you get the r's down. Kinda acts like a 2 stroke dirtbike with a
plug about to foul. I haven't checked plugs or anything yet but it
seems like it would be more of an injection problem, like it's choking
for air or something. I think it's running pretty rich. I know nothing
about fuel injection. Any idears?

Probably the Cat got itself all plugged up and now she can't breath. You
should be able to get a backpressure test done at your local shop.

I was thinking the coil breaking down under load.
