I have a 2000 Pontiac Sunfire with a black plastic panel between the
taillights.  The rest of the body polishes/waxes up beautifully, but
this black panel is dull and without shine.

What should I do/use to bring the lustre back to this black plastic?

Thanks in advance.

I've had excellent success on as-moulded (non-painted) black plastic
exterior parts using nothing more exotic than a bottle of Kiwi liquid
black shoe polish. The kind with the little sponge applicator tip, often
found at the supermarket.

Brasso metal polish, available at grocery stores everywhere. Also does
a bang-up job clearing up cloudy instrument covers.
