Toyota Previa - tire maintenance/replacement?

Hi all,

I have a 1993 Toyota Previa with about 150k miles that was given to me
8 months ago.  Since then I've put about 6k miles on it, had trans
fluid & oil changed several times, and other stuff.  Third owner and I
don't have much of a maintenance history.

The tires look "fine" to me, but also look "dry."  Any suggestions on
how often & under what conditions tires should be replaced on this car,
or cars in general?  They don't appear to have any uneven/unusual wear,
but for a car this age for which I'm the third owner, it seems like
something to think about.

Many thanks,
Jean-Paul Traves

You could check the DOT code on the tire fro their age, last 3 digits are
the year and week of mfg. ie; 339 would be the 33 rd week of 1999.
